For a truly unique custom cutting board, we highly recommend teak. Teak is one of the most beautiful and durable hardwoods in existence and is great for the kitchen. Rich in natural oils, teak performs very well in wet environments and is a favored wood for boats and luxury furniture. A tropical wood, teak is also dense and highly resistant to warping, making it a top choice for chefs.

Our custom teak cutting boards are made purely from teak heartwood, which is the most resilient and durable part of the tree. Standard teak cutting boards use sapwood or seconds to keep costs down, but our in-house custom teak boards are premium quality with no cutting of corners. While teak has a higher price than domestic woods, the longevity and luxury of owning a teak cutting board will pay for itself. Our custom boards come in two different styles. The Straight Grain option is made with 2-4 inch wide strips of edge grain wood running lengthwise, while our Natural Grain choice is made of wider sections of mixed grain wood (4-6 inches wide) running lengthwise and has a more rustic pattern.

Each cutting board is hand made right here in the USA. We always employ woodworking best practices and go the extra mile to ensure your board is properly made. All boards are made using edge grain construction (instead of face grain, which is a shortcut), use food safe glue (vs quick dry polyurethane), are clamped for 48 hours for a solid bond (vs a 24 hour glue and wipe), sanded to a smooth 220 grit finish, then finished with food safe oil (vs an unsafe varnish).

Expedited shipping is only for shipping service and will not speed up production time, please contact us if you need your order to be expedited, as we do have a rush option for an additional fee. Once the order has been placed and the work begun, we are unable to cancel, refund or return orders, as they are custom-made on demand..
