This Larch Wood Large Classic cutting board performs as well as it presents. Constructed from joined end-grain blocks of Eastern Canadian larch, this board is a stunning display of meticulously matched wood grain.
Larch Wood is a boutique cutting board maker out of Cape Brenton, Nova Scotia. Exclusively using Eastern larch (also known as tamarack or juniper), each cutting board is individually made and one-of-a-kind. The superior end-grain construction naturally protects against surface scarring while also being safe for knife edges.
Tamarack is a softwood that only grows in certain Northern latitudes. It has properties of being antimicrobial and rot resistant, which made it a popular choice of wood among indian tribes. Not commonly available, Larch Wood's use of tamarack makes these boards a truly special find.
