Softwood Cutting Boards

Softwood cutting boards offer several benefits, including being gentle on knives, having self-healing properties that help maintain a smooth surface, and absorbing and retaining moisture to prevent excess liquid on the board, reducing knife slippage with their softer texture. 

We offer both straight grain Hinoki from Japan and edge grain Larchwood from eastern Canada. Both woods offer all of the benefits of softwood with a beautiful, unique finish on every piece.
