This bamboo butcher block is ruggedly built for even the most grueling of kitchen work. Constructed from end grain bamboo, this butcher block can handle cleavers and other heavy duty prep jobs. At the same time, this block isn't too heavy to be used as an every day work tool, with side handles to assist in moving the block around as necessary. As an added bonus, a permimeter juice groove prevents liquids from spilling over the side, which as a chef knows, is a big pain when working with meats or even a juicy fruit.
All bamboo blocks at CuttingBoard.com are 100% food safe and use formaldehyde free glues in the construction. With end grain butcher blocks, we especially recommend regular board maintenance to prevent drying or cracking of the board over time.
Contrary to popular belief, bamboo is nto a safe material to put into the dishwasher, so please only wash this butcher block in the sink and dry when done.
